StockTock.com - Free resource for traders

StocktockLogo.png

Launched yesterday, June 9th 2008, StockTock is a free online resource for new and experienced traders.

This is a new initiative I have been working on for the past month with Craig Simons, an ex-Sapient colleague who is now a full-time equity trader. Together we have partnered to build a blog-based resource to provide the average individual trader with hints, tips, resources and insight into the current and future markets. Over time, StockTock will transform into more of a community based service.

Check out the site and I welcome all and any feedback.

Site mobile Safari formatted

Site on iPhoneSweet!

I just installed the iWPhone plugin and theme for Wordpress and this site now formats perfectly in mobile Safari. So if you have iPhone or iPod touch browse on over. I have to say, I’m really impressed at how clean and crisp the site looks.

Now, just wish I actually owned an iPhone or iPod touch.

To capture the image to left, I downloaded iPhony from Marketcicle. It’s a desktop app that is an iPhone web simulator that displays a website as either a webkit (Safari) agent or iPhone agent. Using the latter informs the web server that an iPhone is browsing.

Wordpress formatting and Safari

Just in the past few days I’ve been running into a problem where if I edit any Wordpress posts via the Safari browser I lose all the formatting. It’s especially annoying when I return to an older post to fix a typo and then that post looses it’s formating.

Troy over at The Geeky Artist posted about this a few weeks back and I’d also be keen to know if there is a solution.

The only way around this currently is to use an offline blogging tool (ecto in my case), or Firefox. But I’m a Safari fan and would prefer not to have to fire up Firefox just to edit a post.
